About us

COLOMBIAN PRODUCERS OF ULTRA SPECIALITY HIGH ALTITUDE COFFEES

We have the great honor to introduce the founders of Café Granja la Esperanza. Rigoberto and Luis Eduardo Herrera are firm believers that Colombian soil produces coffee cups of 100 points. These two brothers were born in Caicedonia, Valle del Cauca, and in 1998 they decided to continue with the family coffee dream that began in 1945. Rigoberto Herrera and his family are the third generation of a coffee growers family that started making a difference in the coffee industry 20 years ago incorporating Organic and Specialty Coffee Varieties of high quality.

Café Granja La Esperanza specializes in the production and commercialization of specialty coffee varietals, facing huge challenges as the adaptation of these varietals to the Colombian soil and climate conditions, and dealing directly every specialty coffee market around the world. Our profiles are recognized and highly appreciated, and every day we continue to improve and always seek to make a difference.

The quality of our product is a result of the traceability of our processes.

Our combination of curiosity, scientific rationality and obsession with coffee quality has allowed us to create unique protocols of milling for our coffees, tailored to eight distinct microclimates, which are located in three different mountain ranges in Colombia.

For 78 years we have been working tirelessly, we have experienced different situations which have challenged us to be better every day, and we will always try to follow this path.
